Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa passed a resolution on the legalization of digital assets and the mining of cryptocurrencies.

Pakistan is likely to be another country, which will support the cryptocurrency industry.

Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science & Technology and Information Technology informed about it on his twitter where he stated:

KP Assembly passes resolution regarding Cryptocurrency and Cryptomining demanding federal govt to take steps to legalise cryptocurrency and cryptomining in Pakistan.

According to the information obtained, the federal government and relevant organizations may supplement this proposal until December 17. If this does not happen, cryptocurrencies are likely to be legal in the country.

Pakistan is also working on regulations and only recently, on November 6, the Securities and Exchange Commission published a position paper on the regulation of digital asset trading platforms.
