• Latvian airline airBaltic has announced that it now accepts Bitcoin Cash, Ether and Dogecoin for tickets.
AS Air Baltic Corporation, the flag carrier of Latvia, has teamed up with a crypto payment service provider BitPay to enable its customers to purchase tickets with cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.

This Latvian company was the first airline to accept Bitcoins as early as 2014 and as an innovative company, decided to expand its portfolio with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Ether and Dogecoin.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic, also commented on the situation. He thinks that by doing so, the company will once again improve the customer experience.

As an innovative airline, we always strive to search for ways to improve the customer experience starting from the booking process. Over the years around 1000 clients have used the payment option, which may not seem like a lot, but still offers passengers a unique payment option hard to find elsewhere.
