Denmark will soon be able to boast the first bank to allow its clients to buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

Saxo Bank, which has an operating income of DKK 4,316M and 660,000 clients, decided, according to a press release reproduced by the Danish daily Eksta Bladet, after noting great their interests in these asset classes and cryptocurrency.

Customers will be able to trade cryptocurrencies from June 22, specifically with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. Cryptocurrencies will be traded in pairs with the euro, the dollar and the Japanese yen.

Johannes Rovsing, head of Saxo Bank's Nordic activities, adds that more and more private and institutional investors are now looking at cryptocurrencies if they want to diversify their investment portfolio.
