A series of billboards have appeared across Turkey, luring investors to invest in a scam. The Turkey branch of Binance has taken legal actions, as the scammers have been impersonating the company with a Binance-themed design.
“For a while, billboards similar to the image below have been striking in different regions of Turkey [...and] has nothing to do with #Binance,” reads the official tweet from Binance TR in a rough translation.
The scammers go under the name of “Binance Tourist Exchange” and even provide a number on the billboards where you can call. On the other end of the line, there would be a person posing as a Binance employee.
Turkish investors who have a suspicion that they have come into contact with scammers are advised to notify the authorities. Moreover, Binance TR has started a legal investigation into the matter, trying to find out who published the billboards.
