It has been more than half a year since the official launch of Ethereum 2.0 Beacon Chain, so we decided to look at what numbers the network currently reports.
It is probably clear to each of you that one of the most important indicators of the Blockchain network is the participants themselves, in this case active validators.
Ethereum 2.0 currently boasts 168,154 active validators (at the time of writing), which means that it will most likely soon exceed the 170K limit. As you can see in the graph, active validators are consistently increasing, which is automatically reflected on staked ether as well.
The second important indicator is therefore already mentioned staked ether and thus the current balance of all validators staked. At the time of writing, 5,380,742 ETHs have been staked in the network with an average balance of all validators staked of 32.88 ETH.
As a result, the number of all active validators along with staked ether has increased by almost 250% since the beginning of the year.
