Moscow has a new electronic voting system built on the Blockchain

The official website, which belongs to the mayor of Moscow, informs citizens about new system of electronic voting and its launch.

Electronic voting can be used by Russian citizens over 18 years of age with permanent residence in Moscow. Just register on the website mos.ru or gosuslugi.ru, citizens can apply until June 21.

The official report on the mayor’s website highlights the security and transparency provided by blockchain technology.

The main arguments include the fact that the network does not have a single server and the change of information requires the consent of the majority of participants. As a result, it is impossible to break the blockchain and the vote itself is fully anonymized and encrypted.

As we can see, Russia definitely sees potential in blockchain technology, which confirms several news from recent days.
