New York has failed to enforce a law that would control the mining of cryptocurrencies

According to the American radio station WSHU, New York has failed to enforce a law that would ensure control over crypto mining operations as well as all operators of these services.

The aim of this law was to increase control over climatic effects and thus over how individual mining companies affect the environment. In this case, an extensive study was carried out by the state together with environmental groups.

WSHU radio reported that in this case the measures were opposed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union, who claimed that it was unfair to their members.

On the other hand, environmental groups still hold the view that, if cryptocurrency mining is not controlled, it is working against New York carbon emission goals.
