Terra Freezes Website to Deter Phishing Attacks

On 22 August, Terra announced via X (formerly Twitter) that it was freezing its website, stating that it was taking action to prevent more phishing scams from occurring. Terra warned do not to interact with any sites with the terra (dot) money domain until it secures full access to the domain.

Terra said in the latest update:

“Our team has been working around the clock to rectify this issue, but we've encountered delays with some third-party responses. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we work to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

Even though Terra has successfully frozen the affected domains, it has advised customers not to engage with these sites until the issue is resolved.

The Terra-powered wallet, Station alerted users to refrain from using the station desktop and mobile apps until they confirmed their safety. Also, Station made significant changes to ensure the safety and security of its users, including an update of the Station Chrome extension to version 7.4.4 and an update of its other browser extensions.
