Zurich-based the world's first digital asset bank today boasted that it will be the first bank to offer participation in ETH 2.0 staking.

In case of interest, the bank's clients can from now conveniently and securely deposit ETH through the Sygnum’s institutional-grade banking platform with a current yield of up to 7% per year.

Ethereum is the second largest blockchain protocol, and Ethereum staking is a core element for digital asset portfolios which can now be accessed in a convenient, secure and regulated setting, said Thomas Eichenberger, Head of Business Units at Sygnum Bank

Sygnum bank also draws attention to the fact that it has custody at the institutional level, which means that the bet on Ethereum is kept in individual accounts of clients with the highest security.

For clients, however, this is not the first time a Swiss bank has offered them this type of investment. Sygnum Bank already offers staking for Tezos as well as a yield-generating fixed term deposit on its Digital Swiss Franc (DCHF).
